Alan J. Higgins (sometimes credited as Al Higgins) is an American television producer. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and is the brother of actor David Anthony Higgins and ''Saturday Night Live'' assistant producer/''Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'' announcer Steve Higgins. He is best known as a writer and associate producer of the television series ''Malcolm in the Middle''〔("There's not a Brady in this Bunch" ) by Caryn James, ''Malcolm in the Middle'' pilot review, ''The New York Times'' television reviews 2000 via Google Books〕 for seasons 1 through 3, and came back as a creative consultant for season seven.
